Viggi Johansen

Born in Copenhagen in 1990, Viggi spent years building a career as an interior designer before she started writing the stories that would become Whispers of Passion. The two careers turn out to have more in common than you'd think: both are about noticing what a space — or a person — actually wants, and having the nerve to give it to them.

Her novels draw on her own life in Copenhagen's BDSM and queer scenes. Viggi is submissive by nature and bisexual, drawn mostly toward women, and she treats both as ongoing fieldwork rather than settled facts. It shows up on the page as a genuine curiosity about what people want and what it costs them to ask for it.

She still lives in Copenhagen, drinks more coffee than a person who writes lying down should, and is currently plotting book four.
